Excellence and conviviality

Strong of an asserted Belgian and regional identity, each finds what he is looking for there: classic or modern paintings, stamped furniture, silverware and glasses of exception.

Considered as its nice and relaxed atmosphere, we admire the scenographic quality of stands betting on the cabinet of curiosities atmosphere or on a refined decoration !

An asserted Belgian identity

Among the exhibitors pillars of the Fair are present of numerous Belgian and French galleries: gallery Beres, Costermans, Jan Muller, Matthieu Sismann, Mésangère. To the latter who also participates in the TEFAF and the BRAFA, we find a strong identity from Liège !

The accent is put on the subtle correspondences between the furniture from Liège in the geometrical marquetry and the pictorial abstraction of contemporary creations. The crush of the antique dealer, a big cupboard anversoise years 1620-1630 decorated with thermal baths representing the allegory of burning love framed by the war and the fire.

To French presents for several years, the gallery Pellat de Villedon always attracts so many amateur customers of XVIIIth. From 6 000 to 68 000 euros, each finds some benefit there : from the magnificent chest of drawers Louis XV in lacquer to the small decorative objects as the charming XVIIIth terra-cotta representing the Worship of Piece. Crush for an attractive portrait of the duchess of Porsmouth, spy of Louis XIV with king of England Charles II.

The Fair Antica also attracts of newcomers every year as the first Italian gallery to the Fair, Il Raccoglitore, who proposes numerous vanities as a contemporary creation of Guido de Pascale, rare because the artist produces only one a year.

The historic treasures of Namur

The city of Namur is well represented because it opens a stand to its museums which expose here exceptional pieces as a cornet to drink of the XVIth. This cup in the shape of funnel is extremely rare because we know only another copy. Of an incredible technical quality, it is about a bubble glass decorated in its summit of a little spherical bell and emperor's face what suggests a prestigious origin. It was part of the collection of  Canon Condé, from Saint-Aubain.
