Jean-Pierre Brisebois, who currently lives in La Roche de Glun in the Drôme, began his self-taught artistic career through photography. Fascinated by the traces of time and the rare lights of nature, he has exhibited in various cities of France: Tain, Tournon, Montélimar, Limoges, Gluiras (in Ardèche), charms on Rhône, Grenoble, Arles (Prix de la Fondation Photoservice), Paris.
In 2012, while continuing to practice the photo, he was introduced to the painting inspired notably by his series of abstract photos. Working mainly in oil, his current favourite themes are wastelands and abandoned houses, abstraction, portraits...
